I am Bryan Jeffries, your City Councilman in Northeast Phoenix District 2.  I have lived in North Phoenix my entire life.   I attended PV schools and graduated PV community college, and I fell in love and married my High School sweetheart here and married at a church in the district.  I went on to earn a Master’s degree.

Phoenix is a citizen’s council made up of men and women who are attorneys, radio station managers, non-profit organization leaders and small businessmen. My profession for almost 20 years has been serving others as a professional firefighter paramedic, now as a captain leading other firefighters on emergency calls.

There is a responsibility to being a public servant. For more than a decade I have given back to our community by helping in my neighborhood association, sitting on non-profit boards, helping raise money for veterans, youth programs and helping my employer cut costs and improve efficiency.

Times are tough. People have lost jobs, income and homes. My pledge as your City Councilman: No Pension, No Perks, No Benefits. Many people don’t know elected officials get a pension. I don’t need it and I’m turning that money back to the city. I will serve without the perks and benefits, plus I’ve cut my city council office budget 67%. Actions, not just words. My opponents are both career politicians with pensions.

District 2 residents deserve a City Councilman who won’t walk away for another political opportunity. I am dedicated to one ideal: serving others, not a political career. The proof is my record of service. I have been a dedicated 9-1-1 responder – helping others with speed and professionalism is not only second nature, it is who I am. In less than a month I resolved a major neighborhood street transportation issue that had neighbors on the brink of suing the city. Problem fixed, no tax dollars needed and that major neighborhood group has endorsed me.

I grew up here, I love this great place and I am asking for your ideas and support.  I'm asking for your vote so together we can move Phoenix forward.

Call me at 602-492-5574. I’m accessible and responsive.
